The PD6608 Loop Leader is an intrinsically safe and nonincendive loop-powered 1/8 DIN digital panel meter for displaying any 4-20 mA process signal in hazardous areas. It features a dual-line LCD with a 5-digit alphanumeric top display for the process variable, an 8-digit alphanumeric bottom display for engineering units, a tag, or a custom message, and an integrated bargraph for added clarity. As the agency-approved process display model with bargraph in the Loop Leader series, the PD6608 is ideal for local indication where both precise numeric display and quick visual reference are needed in hazardous areas. It also features a Type 4X/NEMA 4X/IP65 front and two-color backlighting for excellent visibility in demanding environments. A built-in micro USB connection allows the meter to be programmed with free MeterView XL software. The PD6608 comes standard with two open collector outputs and one digital input, and models are available with two solid-state relays and an isolated 4-20 mA output. The PD6608 is UL and C-UL Listed as Intrinsically Safe and Nonincendive, and ATEX and IECEx Certified as Intrinsically Safe.

MeterView XL software connects directly to the meter via a micro USB cable and is available for programming and setup of Loop Leader, Loop Leader+, ProtEX+, and VantageView+ series process meters and flow rate/totalizers. MeterView XL software is used to program parameters for a wide variety of applications such as tank level, pump alternation, rate/totalizing, batch control, and more. This software greatly simplifies the programming process and also allows the user to save configuration files for later use. When connected to the PC, the meter is powered by the USB connection, so no additional power is needed during programming.
IMPORTANT!
Uninstall previous versions before downloading and running the latest version.
MeterView XL software can be installed on any Microsoft Windows 10/11 computer. Connect one end of a USB cable to the meter and the other end to the computer. The meter is powered via USB, so there is no need to wire anything before programming it. USB connection is intended for configuration purposes only.
