These signals include 4-20 mA, 0-10 V, strain gauge, pulse, thermocouple and RTD. Our hazardous-area instruments are approved by UL, CSA, ATEX, and IECEx as explosion-proof, intrinsically safe, and nonincendive. Many of our explosion-proof models feature SafeTouch® through-glass buttons which ensure safe operation without the need to remove the cover. Intrinsically safe, loop-powered instruments derive their operating power from the 4-20 mA current loop with a relatively low voltage drop, preventing the need to run additional, costly power lines into the hazardous area.

  • PD8-6060 ProtEX-MAX Explosion-Proof Dual Analog Input Process Meter

    The ProtEX-MAX PD8-6060 process meter offers all the functionality of the ProVu PD6060 as a CSA, ATEX, and IECEx certified explosion-proof product. It is available in an aluminum or stainless steel enclosure and will operate over a wide temperature range of -55 to 65°C (-67 to 149°F). It accepts two inputs of either a process current (4-20 mA) or process voltage (0-5V, 1-5V, etc.) signal. It displays these signals on a dual-line, 6-digit Sunbright sunlight readable display. The meter can be customized such that these two inputs are displayed in a variety of ways, including both at the same time with tags or the result of math functions performed on one or both of the inputs. The PD8-6060 can be equipped with four internal relays and a 4-20 mA analog output. It can be programmed and operated without opening the housing by using the built-in CapTouch through-glass buttons or the RS-485 serial communication port with free Modbus protocol.

    The Loop Leader PD6620 is an ATEX and IECEx approved, UL listed, intrinsically safe and nonincendive, loop-powered, 1/8 DIN flow rate/totalizer designed for demanding process control applications. A dual-line display featuring five digits on the top line and eight digits on the bottom line, preprogrammed engineering units, loop-powered backlight with a unique red backlight option for alarm conditions, and optional bargraph display (PD6628) provide a clear and attractive presentation of the process. All models come equipped with two open collector outputs and are available with two solid state relays and a 4-20 mA analog output.
